RICCOBONI GROUP SAFETY DAY 2025
PRESENTATION OF NEW COMPANY AND WORKSITE SAFETY VISION
PRESENTATION OF NEW COMPANY AND WORKSITE SAFETY VISION
Once again this year the Riccoboni Group focused close attention on the themes of World Day for Safety and Health at Work with a programme of in-person initiatives at its Ostuni, Predosa and Parma sites in which worksite personnel were able to participate remotely thanks to a live stream.
Riccoboni Group Safety Day 2025 was an opportunity to discuss and reflect on issues connected with safety, sharing results and presenting future projects, and above all to discover the Group’s New Safety Vision and acknowledge all those who have distinguished themselves in the last year for their proactive approach and virtuous behaviour in the area of HSE.
In Italy, workplace safety continues to be a major problem. In the first month of 2025 alone we recorded 60 work-related deaths, a rise of 33.3% compared to the same period last year. These figures highlight the importance of keeping our guard up at all times and strengthening our prevention strategies. In 2024, INAIL - the Italian national insurance body for work-related injuries - reported 543,039 work accidents and 1000 work-related fatalities, underling the need for urgent targeted action to improve workplace safety. Occupational diseases have also increased significantly, with 81,671 reports filed.
“Our annual Safety Day is a very significant part of our growth path, this year more than ever,” explains Angelo Riccoboni, CEO of Riccoboni Holding. “Much more than an event, it is a moment of collective reflection, a chance to double down on our number one priority: your safety.
I have great belief in the new company Safety Vision which we have defined as part of an updating process undertaken with the LHS Foundation: a document that looks to the future with even more ambition and understanding. For us, the Safety Vision is much more than a set of procedures, it is a guiding light that helps us in all of our actions and all of our decisions with the aim of creating workplaces in which the risk is zero and protection is constant.
Safety isn’t just procedures and structural controls, it is also our individual ability to perceive and interpret the little clues that might hint at bigger problems. Imagine a trickle of oil dripping from a pipe in a system: an apparently insignificant detail that could instead point to a problem or the potential malfunctioning of the system itself. A pressure gauge that isn’t working properly, an unusual sound coming from a machine, a strange smell in the air: these are all signals that we need to be aware of. We must never underestimate the importance of careful observation and prompt communications. By quickly reporting even the smallest of anomalies we might be able to prevent accidents and protect both ourselves and our colleagues.”
